Penny Donello is a British screenwriter whose work explores class, faith, and moral survival. A graduate of the Master’s in Screenwriting (accredited by Screen Scotland), she received a Distinction for her feature Beneath the Cassock, a lyrical psychological drama about guilt and forbidden love.
Her writing blends realism with quiet tension, often centred on ordinary people facing extraordinary choices. Grounded in her working-class roots, Penny creates stories that challenge, provoke, and reveal the humanity beneath the surface.
